The Real Housewives of New York – Bethenny Frankel and Alex McCord Share a Bottle of Champagne

This season of The Real Housewives of New York saw the return of fan favorite Bethenny Frankel and the introduction of her nemesis Alex McCord. While the pair were squabbling over who’s boss on the home front, the two were also tasked with the responsibility of searching out the holy grail of haute couture, namely the red carpet ready cocktail dress. With a budget of five figures to spare, the pair set about in search of a worthy gown to complement a suitably posh pre-show attire. They were rewarded with what amounted to a night of regal sophistication and petty bragging rights. Clearly, it was a good thing they were the last two in the pack.

It’s also no secret that the cast of the show had a love-hate relationship, but that didn’t stop the aforementioned duo from sharing a bottle of champagne at the end of the day. Besides, they’re both on a shopping spree. That’s right, the duo spent over five figures on one shopping excursion.

It’s not often that you can get your hands on a firsthand look at the latest and greatest haute couture, and in a swank setting. Luckily, a lucky few get their wish come true, and the opportunity to rub elbows with the who’s who in the business. After the formalities are over, a quick scan of the ladies guide will yield a few newbies and old pros. A requisite champagne toast is a prerequisite for the big daddy. And, like all good things in life, it’s only a matter of time until the hors d’oeuvres are a’comin’. One has to wonder, though, if the hive et al would be the same if not for their tumultuous history.
