Brian Launfrie’s Remains Found in Florida Wilderness Park

There have been a lot of theories about how Brian Launfrie died, including that he drowned himself. The bones were found near Brian Launfrie’s backpack, which contained his clothes as well as a ring. There were also two pieces of jewelry, a wooden box, and a dry bag that contained photographs and a journal. Near the body, bones were found in dirt and vegetation. An old snub-nosed revolver also was found. An anthologist examined the bones and confirmed they were human. Despite the absence of a suicide note, the bones were positively identified through dental records.

The remains of Brian Laundrie were discovered in the late-October rainy season in a Florida wilderness park. He had been the sole person of interest in the disappearance of his fiance, Gabby Petito. She was last seen on a road trip in late-August, and her body was found weeks later near the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. According to police, Brian Laundrie shot Gabby and then left a suicide note. Brian Laundrie was identified as a person of concern and his family is fighting for justice for the girl who has disappeared.

After examining Petito’s body, the FBI and local police identified Laundrie as a person to watch in Petito’s disappearance. Laundrie never had made contact with authorities and hadn’t even told them about Petito’s disappearance. The remains were discovered in the Carlton Reserve near Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on October 20th. They also found a notebook containing notes by Petito and Laundrie.
