On May 19, 2007, Pavlik competed against Edison Miranda in a WBC Middleweight Title Eliminator bout, winning decisively by scoring a sixth round technical knockout.

Pavlik then scored a seventh round TKO victory against Lenord Pierre at Covelli Centre main event, knocking him down twice before the referee stopped it.

Pavlik is both an accomplished athlete and award-winning academic. He was named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year an impressive four times, as well as GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-America in 1996 when graduating Bryant with two degrees – computer information systems and finance – under magna cum laude status. Pavlik enjoys exercising regularly and woodworking occasionally when not spending his time with his wife and daughters.

Dan is married with two children and an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially his hometown Phillies and Eagles. In his free time he enjoys exercising and occasionally woodworking; additionally he coaches both softball and soccer for his kids’ leagues.

An avid community-builder, he takes great pleasure in serving on the board of directors at Loyola University Maryland as an associate professor and the director of didactic education for their physician assistant studies program at Salus University.

He specializes in the evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries. At his practice, immediate pain relief is of primary importance for him. Furthermore, he received post doctorate training in Whiplash Traumatology which has enabled him to treat several local professional athletes as well as disc jockeys for many years.
