Early Life and Education

Daniel Scroggins was born December 29th 1946 in Atoka Oklahoma. He attended Atoka High School before earning both a B.S from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and M.B.S from OU Law School. Following these achievements he went on to work as City Manager of Atoka as well as serving in the Army National Guardsman.

Scroggins serves as lead pastor of Family Church in West Palm Beach, Florida and sits on the Board of Trustees at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Additionally, he is author of various books such as Turning Everyday Conversations into Gospel Conversations and Full Circle Parenting.

He and Mary-Madison Sims have two children together. Together, they enjoy volunteering with children as foster parents to many. Edith Mae Sherman Scroggins had long resided in Eureka Springs, Arkansas before passing away at Washington Regional Hospital on September 21, 2009. She left behind husband Donnie Scroggins of Golden, Missouri; one son Daniel Scroggins with wife Rebecca of Berryville Arkansas; three brothers Robert Sherman with wife Wilsie, Kenneth Sherman with wife Darlene and Billy Sherman with wife Rita from Mano Missouri plus five grandchildren.

Professional Career

Scroggins has spent his career working in sales and marketing. His professional experiences include roles such as commercial integrator, manufacturer’s sales representative and network distribution project manager. Additionally, he served as general manager of a $15 million/year division within a publically traded company where he led product line development while improving overall profitability.

Legal counsel specializing in healthcare and employment law, representing physicians and other health care providers on corporate, regulatory and litigation issues. He has spoken on various topics at continuing education seminars for Oklahoma Health Lawyers Association as well as other professional associations.

Scroggins serves as senior vice president of research and innovation at BluMetric Environmental, receiving an annual salary of approximately $182,688.

Achievement and Honors

As a senior, he joined Harold Eberhart and other stars to assist coach Andy McDonald in leading the Bears to a runnerup finish in 1935 MIAA tournament. Following that season he earned all-league selection and led them to 16-3 record that would lead them back into competition for another MIAA championship in 1936.

Personal Life

Daniel Scroggins and Mary-Madison Sims, parents to two children together, share a strong belief in helping others – one reason they held their wedding on December 14 at a community center they volunteer at instead of at traditional venues.

Scroggins was born and raised in Atoka, Oklahoma before attending Atoka High School. After that, he attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University to obtain his B.S. and then later OSU where he earned an M.B.S. as well as his law degree. Additionally he has held positions such as city councilman, temporary city manager and serving as attorney for both Atoka and Stringtown city governments.

Kevin Dean was a Sebastian County sheriff deputy. He is survived by his wife Debbie; two sons (Kevin Dean and Jason Scroggins); two daughters (Tiffany Strother and Natasha Scroggins); two grandchildren – Austin and Devan; as well as his mother-in-law Oleta Sherman from Golden, Missouri.
