Dave Rankin is an Australian artist renowned for his abstract paintings. His art draws inspiration from Aboriginal art, European abstraction and Chinese and Japanese styles.

Early Life and Education
Rankin (born 1966) studied photography at the London College of Printing before cofounding Dazed & Confused magazine with Jefferson Hack.
He is a fashion photographer whose portfolio includes campaigns for Rimmel, Dove, Nike and BMW. Additionally he has photographed celebrities such as Kate Moss, Madonna and Juliette Binoche.
His work has been featured in magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper’s Bazaar. Furthermore, he is a member of the British Fashion Council.
Rankin was an outspoken pacifist. She opposed the United States entering World War I and helped pass women’s suffrage laws, as well as leading the anti-Vietnam War movement.

Dave made an impact on those around him with his pioneering efforts.
He also dedicated himself to aiding children with disabilities and was an active supporter of the American Cancer Society. Together with his wife, he had several children: David Christopher Rankin, Susan Marie Rankin, Paul Edward Rankin, John William Rankin, Thomas Joseph Rankin, Andrew Michael Rankin and Theresa Ann Rankin.
Rankin manages to balance his work schedule with time for an intimate friendship with his family, who are members of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Brooklyn, New York. In addition, Rankin has written a pamphlet outlining his Christian beliefs.
