Early Life and Education
The early years of a child’s life are crucial for their development. This period allows their brains to rapidly mature, so it is essential that they acquire strong social skills, self-esteem, and an upright moral outlook.
Early childhood education equips children with the essential skills for success both academically and in life. It also serves to build crucial connections and partnerships among teachers, parents, and peers.
Science of child development reveals how children’s early experiences, environments and interactions form the neural foundation on which all subsequent development is built. By understanding how these influences on learning, behavior and physical and mental health impacts children during these formative years, policy-makers and program designers can make more effective decisions and improve outcomes for these youngsters.
