Haslett High School graduate Judkins is now pursuing dual degrees in English and ancient studies at Michigan State University’s College of Arts and Letters, while being nominated as part of the MSU Honors College and nominated for a Mitchell Scholarship award.
He has won multiple awards during his time at MSU, such as membership to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi. Additionally, his passion for European culture and its Middle Ages began before entering MSU and has grown even stronger during a study abroad trip to France.
Judkins achieved much during his college career, but nothing can top the accomplishment of breaking Ole Miss’ 73-year-old rushing record in style. It is something Judkins will always be remembered for.

David Judkins enjoyed a prosperous, rewarding, and healthy lifestyle. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and always made time for them.
He dedicated much of his free time to photography, volunteering to clean, print, and catalog glass plate negative collections at both Southwest Harbor Public Library and MacArthur Library in Biddeford.
Er was also an active member of the Photographic Historical Society of New England, taking photographs to capture memories from family, friends and travel.
