David Kaverman is an accomplished professional poker player with more than $18.5 Million in live tournament earnings. In 2015 he won a World Series of Poker bracelet and was recognized as Global Poker Index Player of the Year.

After spending some time working in corporate America, Dave decided to focus his energies on helping companies buy and sell businesses – giving rise to Acuity Mergers + Acquisitions.

Early Life and Education

David Kaverman began his acting career at age 6, when he was cast as Joseph’s understudy in his preschool’s Christmas nativity play and immediately fell in love with it.

He is currently touring as Smokey Robinson in “Motown the Musical.” Recently, The Daily Beast interviewed him and published this interview.

Based on Berry Gordy’s autobiography as founder of Motown Records in 1959 as an outlet for black artists, this show stars Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Mary Wilson – to name just a few of its notable names! The musical will visit New Haven Tuesday through Sunday June 13-18th at Shubert Theatre for eight performances.

David Kaverman has made quite the name for himself on the performing arts scene, appearing in several Broadway shows such as In the Heights and Paul Simon’s The Capeman as well as commercials and TV shows including PBS’ Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. On the poker front he has earned multiple prestigious awards such as WPT Hall of Fame nomination and win on PCA; among these achievements one stands out: winning a gold WSOP tournament prize consisting of $1 Million buy-in tournament and $150,000 ring! David Kaverman is an award-winning actor-singer, perhaps best known for his portrayal of Joey in “Motown: The Musical”. Recently he set off on its inaugural national tour.

David is an accomplished poker player and high-stakes specialist who has won multiple six-figure tournaments over time. In 2014 he placed second at the WPT World Championship for $727,860 while also collecting his first seven-figure payday at Super High Roller Bowl with $1,400,000 won in 2014.

He is a member of the World Series of Poker (WSOP). David has won multiple events at this tournament series, such as the $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Six Handed Championship held in June 2015 for $657,351. Additionally to his successful poker career, David is known for writing and performing songs for movies as well as being a dedicated family man.
