Early Life and Education
David Pickett was born in Springfield, VT to Edward and Grace Pickett. His father served in the Army for 33 years, providing Dave with an early exposure to military service.
He is currently President of Gotham Organization, Inc. and CEO of Gotham Developers – a family-owned business that has grown into one of the nation’s premier real estate developers and property operations firms.
David Picket earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University, majoring in English and law. Additionally, he served on the Cornell University Council and Herbert F. Johnson Museum advisory board.

David Pickett is the president of Gotham Organization, a family-run development firm that specializes in urban residential and commercial space. He leads an experienced team of 150 employees and has successfully developed over 35,000 apartments and 40 million square feet of space throughout Manhattan – most notably.
In addition to running Gotham, he serves as executive director of a nonprofit that promotes veteran programs and education in Florida. Furthermore, he is an active member of both the Korean War Veterans Association and Disabled American Veterans Organization.
Pickett was previously an assistant coach at Milligan College, where he helped produce two AAC Champions and multiple all-conference performers and point scorers. Additionally, his assistance on the women’s 4100 relay team earned them All-American status during their appearance at the NCAA DI Championships in 2012.

Picket and his wife Theresa are longtime residents of Port St. Lucie, Florida and have raised five children there. As a family unit, they emphasize respect, loyalty, duty, honor and courage as core values within their home.

He has also starred in several television series, such as Port Charles, Ally McBeal and The Practice. In 1997 his role on Ally McBeal earned him an Emmy nomination; two years later his portrayal of Detective David Harper on General Hospital earned him another nomination.
Pickett endured frequent beatings from his parents, who worked as sharecroppers. Despite these difficulties, he pursued music and eventually became a well-known country singer.
