Peyton Marvel can give the Jaguars all the help they need in 4A girls basketball to make any meaningful run, thanks to her magnificent play.

D’Evelyn sophomore point guard Jordan Clark hit three 3-pointers and collected three steals to convert 13 Ravens turnovers into easy baskets and quick runs for D’Evelyn.

Early Life and Education

D’evelyn High School stands out as an exceptional academic environment and athletic programs that allow students to showcase their talents and gain a sense of achievement. D’evelyn is affiliated with CHSAA, an esteemed organization which promotes healthy competition while emphasizing sportsmanship among high schools.

This school is part of Jefferson County R-1 Public School District and founded by a community council in the early 1990s. Academic tenets at this option public high school center around holding students to rigorous standards that enable success for all learners.

Brihanna Crittendon scored 28 points and grabbed 18 rebounds, leading a second-half run that propelled D’Evelyn into an insurmountable lead over Riverdale Ridge. D’Evelyn got to the free-throw line 24 times to 9 times for Riverdale Ridge; 15 of those free throw attempts were converted by D’Evelyn Jaguars.

Professional Career

Bakari Evelyn currently plays professionally for Valparaiso and represented Japan at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games. As a tall and powerful shot player, she was an invaluable part of Valparaiso’s run to victory last season.

She is a versatile player who can fill many different positions on defense. This season she has been an incredible asset to the Jaguars.

She averages 10.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while leading her team in steals and blocks. Her understanding of the game makes her ready to tackle any task at hand and she always maintains a positive attitude both on and off the court – she truly represents team spirit!

Achievement and Honors

d’Evelyn Mock Trial Team achieved 3rd place at their Regional Competition this past Friday and Saturday, qualifying them to compete at the State competition later this month at Jefferson County Courthouse. Students receive cases from Colorado Bar Association which often reflect high profile cases from recent news. Students compete as both attorneys and witnesses on both sides of a case earning awards based on performance.

Holy Family High School has had championship-caliber teams before, yet eight years was too long without winning first place trophies. On Saturday morning however, Sofia Cieslewicz took home both singles and doubles titles respectively for Holy Family Tigers. Alexis Horning and Helen Zhu clinched both doubles championships.

Personal Life

Evelyn Lozada is an accomplished athlete, model, philanthropist and author best known to mainstream audiences through Basketball Wives reality television show. Lozada became an instantaneous hit as audiences witnessed her highs and lows throughout its five season run.

Senior Rebecca Taylor had an explosive first quarter for D’Evelyn as she scored 10 points to take an early 24-9 lead. Junior Peyton Marvel and sophomore Taj Kumar made strong contributions off the bench scoring 18 combined points.

D’Evelyn outscored Jameson Mott by 46-20 to secure an impressive conference win and keep their unbeaten mark intact in 4A Jeffco League play.
