In the United States, the minimum age for purchasing tobacco is 18. If you’re under 21, you can purchase tobacco items from stores that do not have a tobacco aisle. However, you’ll need to show identification to purchase tobacco products. However, if you’re 18 or older, you can buy cigarettes at Walmart.
The biggest problem with electronic cigarettes is the potential health risk. Despite being a convenient alternative to smoking, many people develop lung issues after using them. Because of the risks, the retailer is banning the products from Sam’s Club stores. Walmart says that the move is necessary to protect customers from health risks. Walmart has a policy against smoking and has banned the sale of cigarettes in its Florida stores. NBC2 reached out to Walmart to ask about this. Walmart has not released the details. If it does, it will be in a minority of stores. The retailer has 5,000 stores across the U.S.
