Tyree Walker and Donta Thomas Charged With Robbery

Tyree Walker and Donta Thomas were arrested Thursday on charges that they attempted to rob a 49-year-old during an attempted robbery attempt on Printer’s Row in downtown Chicago. Tyree Walker is facing two robbery counts.

Early Life and Education

Donta Thomas was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1983 and quickly embraced Christianity at an early age. He quickly became beloved to his family members as well as numerous close friends. He will always be missed dearly.

He attended Bruce High School under Coach James Ray and participated in four years of varsity football, being honored with MHSAA Division 4, Class 2A Offensive Player of the Year honors as well as All-State recognition as corner back his junior and senior seasons.

Personal Life

Donta Thomas was arrested Tuesday on charges of rape in Florida after being accused of sexually assaulting an Oklahoma County jail inmate before fleeing to Florida.

Thomas allegedly attacked a female victim on her way to work and assaulted her, leading to various injuries including head trauma and neck fracture. She suffered both of these serious conditions due to Thomas.

Thomas maintains in his defense that he was not provided adequate representation by his attorneys, specifically that they failed to call three witnesses named Melvin Coleman, Tyree Stewart and another unidentified individual who could provide testimony for Thomas’ defense. Furthermore, Thomas claims Tuminelli had an inherent conflict due to representing Coleman in another drug conspiracy case but fails to provide any proof for these claims.
