End Of Greys Anatomy

Is This the End of Grey’s Anatomy?

In this season finale, Meredith Grey has a major case. She is trying to save a woman, who is also pregnant. The case involves an unscrupulous insurance company. In the process, she accidentally puts her daughter’s name on some forms. As a result, she is in trouble with the law and could end up in prison next season. Meanwhile, her husband, Dr. Owen Hunt, is also hurt. Besides Meredith and Owen, other characters are also injured, including Dr. Alex Karev, Dr. Lexie, and Mark. Gary Clark also shoots a resident, Dr. Charles Percy.

While this may seem to be a sign of the end of Grey’s Anatomy, it is important to keep in mind that the show’s cast is changing. Some original cast members have been replaced with new ones. Shonda Rhimes, the show’s creator, has said that the show’s writers should stop the show if Meredith doesn’t want to return. Likewise, former cast member Olivia Pompeo has expressed her desire to move on from Grey’s.

Grey’s Anatomy’s creator Shonda Rhimes decided to leave ABC in 2017 to work with Netflix. The deal is worth $150 million. Krista Vernoff, the showrunner until season seven, returned as showrunner for season 14. She was previously the showrunner and executive producer until the show’s seventh season.

Fans are speculating that season 18 could be the end of Grey’s Anatomy after 18 seasons. However, executive producer Krista Vernoff recently revealed that there has been no decision made about an 18th season yet. However, she said that she is plotting two finales so that fans have time to digest the final episode.

While Ellen Pompeo’s departure from the show is no guarantee that Grey’s Anatomy will end, it does signal a change in the series’ trajectory. Pompeo’s character will not be the same as Meredith Grey. It also means that the show will be a little shorter than previous seasons.

Fans can expect Meredith to be the interim chief of surgery in season 19, while Pompeo’s role is going to be reduced. Meanwhile, Miranda Bailey left her job at Grey Sloan hospital and Owen McKidd is running from the police. Despite the many cliffhangers, the show remains one of the longest running primetime medical dramas.

Grey’s Anatomy season 19 will premiere on October 6 at 9pm ET/PT on ABC. It will also be available on Hulu. However, it has yet to be confirmed for the UK. We will update you as soon as we have more information. It is expected that Ellen Pompeo will only return in eight episodes.
