Este Haim, the Bassist For Haim, Talks With Beyond Type 1

Este Haim, the bassist for the pop group Haim, is an open book on her diabetes and the effects it has on her life. She has lived with Type 1 diabetes for almost 20 years. This year, she talks with Beyond Type 1 about her new single “Hallelujah” and how diabetes has affected her life.

Este Haim and her bandmates have been coping with the microaggressions of fame for years. They formed the band in 2007 and began writing songs while working on their stage performance. By 2012, they had developed their ‘bass face’ sound and signed a record deal with Polydor. They also signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation management company.
