John Babun – Businessman and Philanthropist
John Babun is an experienced businessman with 15 years in the building industry. He currently owns two Miami-based companies: BBR Services and Building Integrity Consultants.
He is a Florida-certified home inspector and general contractor, as well as a member of several professional organizations such as the American Society of Home Inspectors and Building Envelope Science Institute.
Early Life and Education
John Babun was born in June 1972 and raised in Miami, Florida. As a businessman by profession and an enthusiastic philanthropist, his company BG Consultants has achieved great success as an award-winning venture capital firm. Additionally, he founded Outreach Aid to the Americas which addresses humanitarian needs through relief and development programs for Cuba. Their latest offering “EchoCuba” utilizes faith-based methodologies to assist people start businesses, develop leadership abilities and enhance educational attainment.
John Babun has over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, beginning as a sales representative for Coastal Construction Products in 1996 and later rising to become the regional manager for South Florida. He founded BBR Services in 2005 to offer superior waterproofing, concrete restoration, window installation for residential property owners throughout Miami-Dade County. Additionally, he founded Building Integrity Consultants – a residential home inspection firm. He holds certification as both a home inspector and general contractor from the State of Florida, is an active member of both the American Society of Home Inspectors and International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, and serves on the board for AmericasRelief and Outreach Aid to the Americas. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, reading fiction books, watching documentaries, cooking for his family and volunteering for humanitarian causes.
Achievements and Honors
John Babun boasts a vast background in the building industry, having served as both a sales representative and manager before starting his own business. His expertise lies in waterproofing, concrete restoration, window installation, and general contracting services for property owners in South Florida.
He has also been recognized for his advocacy against religious persecution and oppression of people of faith by authoritarian governments in Nicaragua and Cuba. He has spoken at events in Geneva and Los Angeles as well as at the Oslo Freedom Forum.
He is currently studying electrical and computer engineering at Florida International University (FIU), where he holds a Ph.D. in this field. With seven patents under his belt, he has established himself as an esteemed researcher in cybersecurity – his work having been featured in multiple renowned conferences and journals.
