John Bilton and Nick Bilton

John Bilton is the global head of multi-asset strategy at JP Morgan Asset Management. In a recent conference call with investors, he outlined his 2022 Long-Term Capital Markets Assumptions (LTCMAs).

He expects that private equity and private debt will deliver increased returns to investors. He argues that mainstream stocks and bonds offer investors little opportunity for robust and efficient portfolio returns.

Early Life and Education

John Bilton was born near Hull in Yorkshire, England. He received a scholarship to St Peter’s School in York, the oldest school in the UK and founded in 627.

After graduating, Bilton earned a law degree and was called to the Bar of England and Wales. He worked at International Company Services Ltd, an Isle of Man-based Trust and Company Service Provider, where he provided tax advice to clients.

He was also a member of the legal panel for the Sovereign Art Foundation. His personal art collection encompasses more than 350 works of artwork, including paintings and sculptures.

He has two sons from his first marriage and one daughter with his partner, Susie Rippingall. He is a Non-Executive Director of Aberdeen New Dawn Investment Trust PLC, Sovereign Wealth, NTAsian Discovery Fund and NTAsian Emerging Leaders Fund.
