Achievements and Honors
Holyoke Gas & Electric (HG&E) was named a Smart Energy Provider (SEP) by the American Public Power Association for demonstrating smart and effective strategies that support the organization’s mission of providing low-cost, quality, safe, and reliable electric service. HG&E joins 60 public power utilities nationwide who have received the honor. The SEP designation recognizes excellence in smart energy-program structure, efficiency, distributed generation and environmental initiatives. It is the first time the association has offered the honor to a public power utility.
Personal Life
John Deflumer passed away on September 2, 2022 at the age of 63. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters Jessica DeFlumer and Meredith Rigney (Brian); granddaughters Taliyah and Elora. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
