John Gallia, CFP(r), founded Gallia Wealth Management Group LLC in 2015. As a fiduciary, he creates an intimate connection with each client and provides solutions related to retirement planning, investment management, insurance, estate planning and tax planning.

Early Life and Education
John Galia was born around 1928 and spent his early childhood years living with his parents, brothers, and sisters in Detroit, Michigan.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Michigan and his master’s from the University of California, Los Angeles. Currently, he serves as an assistant professor at the University of Illinois.
He teaches and develops undergraduate medical fitness and rehabilitation curricula, in addition to serving as the cohort coordinator for the department of special education’s undergraduate teaching program. His research interests encompass health fitness, strength and conditioning, as well as social justice issues. He has published in journals related to sports science, strength & conditioning, medicine, and more – for which he has received several awards. Most importantly, John enjoys marriage to an intelligent and supportive wife; they have two sons, a dog, and proud grandfather status! When not working full time or going for walks with his canine buddies, John enjoys fishing or upland bird hunting with them too! John strives for work-life balance while managing to fit in time for family responsibilities – although sometimes finding it difficult to make everything fit around work!
