John Lundin

John Lundin is an author, screenwriter, film producer, environmental activist and spiritual teacher based in Minca, Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Mountains.

He is the author of two books, The New Mandala – Eastern Wisdom for Western Living and Journey to the Heart of the World, both co-published with His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Additionally, he serves as a lecturer and spiritual advisor.

He married Ruth Ellen Hickenbotham in 1963 and they had two children, Christina Anna and Nathan Eric. He served as pastor of West Nidaros Lutheran Church in Crooks, SD, then Trinity Lutheran in Yankton, SD before retiring to Springfield, SD in 1997. Additionally, he was a member of both the American Legion and Rotary Club of Springfield, SD.
