John Tarpey is the Chief of Organization Development at Balfour Beatty Plc and an expert on water resources, climate adaptation and economics, as well as agriculture.

John Tarpey was born on the month of 1916 to Thomas T Tarpey and Mary T Tarpey (nee Ford) in his birthplace. He had four siblings.

John Tarpey was born in Massachusetts in 1857 and had four siblings.

He was raised in Boston and attended public school. Additionally, he was a member of the Boston Athletic Association.

Throughout his career, he rose to be a leader in public service. In 2008, he was appointed to the Colorado Public Utilities Commission.

Redgate believes Tarpey has a bright future as a college basketball player, and has taken him under his wing to help guide him into the program that best suits his needs when he graduates in the spring.

John Tarpey is a member of the Ecologic Institute research team and an expert at data analysis and visualization. Additionally, his passion for technology-based solutions across various industries has proven fruitful.

He recently finished his graduate degree in environmental planning from Technische Universitat Berlin (Germany) and has a deep-seated passion for energy and the environment. His other interests include water resources management, climate adaptation & economics, as well as agriculture.

He is the proud parent of an adorable black lab named Bo. In his free time he enjoys traveling, hiking and camping in nature; his favorite sports team is the New England Patriots. In 2018 he was recognized as Walsh University’s Alumnus of the Year; taking away this experience has taught him that no matter what comes his way – keep chasing after your dreams no matter what lies ahead.

Personal Life

John Tarpey has always put his family first, being the proud father of five children and grandfather to twelve grandchildren. Additionally, he served in the police force for over 35 years.

Tarpey’s career was marked by numerous accolades. In 2001, he was nominated for the Walter A. Nashert, Sr. Constructor Award and is a proud member of the Virginia Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors.

As a lifelong Dodger fan, Tarpey watched his grandfather Patrick Tarpey attend games at Ebbets Field. The two developed an affection for one another and wrote letters to each other frequently. In these letters, Erskine shared his enthusiasm for baseball as well as his devotion to Christ.
