Nyjah Huston at the Met Gala 2021
Skateboarding royalty Nyjah Huston impressed on his second Met Gala appearance as he wore a blue Vivienne Westwood suit to the event. He paired his look with white boots and a stylish watch, so it was no surprise to see him grab the headlines for his outfit.
The 2021 Met Gala is the most prestigious fashion event of the year and this one saw some of the biggest names in the industry show up to celebrate the evening. Despite being cancelled in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic, the annual affair was finally rescheduled and took place on September 13th, bringing back a host of celebrities to the red carpet and the glitzy gala dinner.
This year’s theme was ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’ and it was an impressive line up that included heavy-hitting co-chairs Timothee Chalamet, Billie Eilish, poet Amanda Gorman and tennis star Naomi Osaka alongside honorary chairs designer Tom Ford, Instagram head Adam Mosseri and Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
Nicola Peltz was the belle of the ball in a stunning pink dress at the 2021 Met Gala and her fiance Brooklyn Beckham proved to be an excellent PDA partner too! The pair shared a sweet snap as he lifted up her gown to angle it for the camera. He added a ‘love you forever’ emoji over the image to let the world know how much they love each other.
New parents Caroline Wozniacki and David Lee also attended the 2021 Met Gala, and both looked amazing in their tailored suits. The former NBA stars are now enjoying their new roles as mum and dad, and they looked like they were having a blast on the red carpet.
Venus Williams has a long history of attending the Met Gala and her style is always impeccable. She was a head turner in her custom Chloe tux and opted for a feathered Giambattista Valli gown as she stepped out on the red carpet.
Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union also walked the red carpet as they made their way down the Met Gala red carpet. The pair looked incredible as they posed together with their jaws on the floor.
Athletes were out in force at the Met Gala, with Russell Westbrook and Dwyane Wade showing up in suits while London 2012 gold medallist Westbrook teamed his red carpet look with a top hat. Basketball was a popular choice this year at the event and we’re sure that they’ll be seen again on the red carpet in the future.
Ramla Ali was another superstar at the Met Gala and she wowed in her white Giambattista Valli gown. She topped her look off with a Cartier diamond bracelet to complete the look.
Nyjah Huston has been a skateboarder for over two decades and he’s become quite the pro at it. He’s been a four-time Skateboarding World Champion and has represented the US at numerous events.
He was also a skateboarder at the first-ever Olympic Games in Tokyo, so it’s not surprising to see him make an impact on the Met Gala this year. He paired his suit with a pair of gold chains and a stylish watch, making it clear that he was ready for anything at the event.
