Leon Preston Robinson, more commonly known simply as Leon, has enjoyed an extensive acting career. He first gained notoriety as one of The Temptations members before appearing in Madonna’s 1989 music video “Like a Prayer”.

His roles in Cool Runnings and Above the Rim further cemented his status as an esteemed actor. Additionally, Leon and the Peoples was his musical group of choice.

Preston Robinson was born and raised in New York City and is best known for his roles as J.T. Matthews from The Five Heartbeats musical/drama film and Derice Bannock from Cool Runnings sports/crime basketball film.

Old Dominion University graduated him in 1989. Since then, he has acquired over four decades of experience providing public accounting services for retail stores, manufacturing firms, financial institutions, governments and non-profit organizations.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as being certified valuation analyst with the Association of International Certified Valuation Specialists. Additionally, he served as Chairperson of Florida Board of Accountancy before serving on national seminars as a presenter; additionally writing several articles for Florida Bar Journal.
