The Best of the Stylistics 1996

Stylistics is a soul group that began in the early nineties and has been around ever since. The group has released over 40 albums and is considered to be one of the best in the genre. They started out as a collaboration between two high school bands and have become one of the most successful and longest running soul bands of all time.

Originally from Philadelphia, the group’s members were Russell Thompkins Jr., Airrion Love, Herb Murrell, and James Dunn. They were inspired by two groups in Philadelphia: the Monarchs and the Percussions. Both groups had a distinctly Philadelphia sound, and the group was a fusion of these two groups.
