Malek first gained notoriety through his roles on 24 and The Twilight Saga, but soon rose to stardom for his portrayal of Corporal Merriell ‘Snafu’ Shelton in HBO World War II miniseries The Pacific. In 2015, he made headlines when he won the role of Elliot Alderson on USA Network series Mr. Robot and it propelled him into stardom. The dystopian but sensitive thriller resonated strongly with Reddit users and audiences who found Elliot relatable and humanized.

At times he asks whether these statements should go on record and wonders aloud whether his agent should take note.
Malek stands out from most celebrities by being more of an embodiment of three adjectives that become the main topic of every conversation: He’s nice, small-pored and perfect as Elliot; an Emmy winner already who will appear in future movies as Elliot!
